An address book, never a controller.
Record a decoder maker, model, primary address, functions and notes on the canonical vehicle. YardCard normalises numeric primary addresses and warns when assigned vehicles repeat one inside the same operating context.
Typed consist records
A DCC consist reference has its own kind, consist address, ordered members and member orientation. It is distinct from Saved Trains and fixed sets, and it never suppresses primary-address warnings.
YardCard does not connect to a command station, program, validate or control a decoder. Always follow the decoder and command-station instructions.
